PhiBoard is a whole platform for learning maths. Learn from the courses, then test yourself with exercises. All of it is free.

Maths courses
Lessons from grade 4 to university. Every topic explained from the basics, with drawings and examples worked out step by step.

Exercises with worked solutions
A set of ten exercises for every topic, different each time. Each one comes with a hint and a full worked solution.

Function graphs

Type a formula and the graph appears at once. Linear, quadratic, exponential, logarithmic and trigonometric, with grid and axes.

Stacked fractions, roots, sums, integrals and matrices written the way a textbook writes them, not approximated with keyboard characters.

Shapes and constructions

Segments, circles, angles and polygons drawn on a squared, dotted or ruled background. Turn the background off when it gets in the way.

Create a free account
An email address or a Google account is enough. We never ask for a card, because there is nothing to pay for.
Open a new board
Give it a name and pick a background: squares, dots, notebook lines or a plain colour. The maths tools sit in the panel on the left.
Invite someone or work alone
The board saves itself. Come back any time, export to PDF or clone it as a template.

Is the board really free?

Yes. Every math tool, an unlimited number of boards and live collaboration are available at no cost. There is no trial and no time limit.

Do I need to install anything?

No. PhiBoard runs in the browser on a computer, tablet and phone. There is also an app on the App Store (iPhone and iPad) and on Google Play (Android) - though you do not need it to work on a board.

Can I save a board and return to it later?

Yes. Every board stays on your account. Reopen it, clone it as a template or export it to a PDF file.

Does it suit both primary school and university?

Yes. The tools cover fractions and plane figures as well as derivatives, integrals and matrices, so the board follows a student through each stage.
