Our mission

Poland's road from the periphery to the center

In the age of Industry 4.0, mathematics has grown into a competency that decides the competitiveness and wealth of entire nations. A high standard of math education at the primary and secondary level will be the first step toward building a modern engineering workforce, and the ultimate goal is a competitive, innovative, high-margin economy.

According to the "Global Engineering World of Work Outlook 2026" report, the key market challenges the world is facing are:

Talent shortage - the global shortfall in qualified engineering employment stands at 73%, with the biggest difficulties in the aerospace and defense sector (76%) and public-sector civil engineering (76%).

Growing demand for semiconductors - the chip industry will need a million new engineers worldwide by 2030.

Rising energy demand - the energy needs of data centers and AI are set to double within the next decade, while the supply of skilled workers will, at best, stay flat.

The conclusion follows on its own: we need more engineers. And right behind it comes the question - where will we find the people who, in 10-15 years, become those engineers?

I'm deeply convinced that Poland's path from the periphery to the center leads through mathematics, the sciences, engineering, and new technology.

PhiBoard is our answer to these challenges - an app that originally started as a virtual whiteboard for presenting math problems and their solutions, and as support for teaching mathematics.

Today, the PhiBoard project has the ambition of becoming infrastructure for developing future engineering competencies, and our vision is a Poland where mathematical thinking, scientific curiosity, and engineering creativity become the foundation of the next generation of innovators.

By building mathematical thinking and problem-solving skills that prepare young people to understand, create, and shape the technological world of the future, we want to help build, by 2035, an environment where:

math is interesting

learning is practical

technology is a tool

AI is a partner

mistakes are part of learning

a problem is a challenge

and engineering is a natural path for young people curious about the world

PhiBoard isn't trying to replace school, university, or industry. PhiBoard's ambition is to bring them together and get them playing as one orchestra.

We don't just need users of technology. We need its creators - and a creator of technology needs the fundamentals: math, science, curiosity, imagination, and the courage to solve problems.

Cost should never be the reason someone never got the chance to get curious about math or engineering.

We believe math and science are learned far better when you can watch an idea in action and try it yourself, not just read a formula off a board.

It's easier to get curious about something alongside others - a class, a group, someone who already gets it - than on your own.

We don't assume we know best what a classroom needs - direction comes from real conversations with teachers and students.

Open to partnerships with companies

Companies that care about future engineers and specialists can support this mission - and gain access to an engaged learning community.
